RE: Selling a Steeda CAI and Predator tuner
Tell me I am wrong.
BUT.. aren't those Preditors and XCals designed ONLY to work on the car they were orginally purchased for. That is.:
IF I were to buy a Preditor... I can not take it and tune a friends car? OR _ Can I tunes anyones mustang with it? OR_ Can I ONLY tune MY car with it?
I was under the understanding you can only tune your car and nobody elses... if that is the case, then selling it to someone else would be mute because they would not be able to use it.

But, if you remove the tune, and set it back to factory, then it will tune another car.
My brother used to swap tunes with my father's Excursion and F250 Crew cab.
The only way it would work is when he detuned one and tuned the other, but not both.

RE: Selling a Steeda CAI and Predator tuner
That is correct. the tuners (SCT and Diablo) will lock to the car ECU that has been flashed with a custom tune. In order to use this same unit on another car you first have to flash the original car back to stack and then unlock the unit with the supplied software.

Exactly, I flashed my car back to stock and it's ready to go. Profeesorwizard, I e.mailed you last week prior to listing the sale here b/c i knew you were looking for a tuner. Did you get the e.mail?

Doctor Bob...
I remember that now... I am planing on buying one.. but I can't right now cuz I just dropped a grand on a scoop and spoiler which I still have to paint, so it will be a couple of weeks before I can afford getting a tuner. and the Preditor is the one I decided on because it will let me tune my automatic transmission where the XCal won't.
I am pretty sure you will sell yours before then. But if you end up not, we might be talking.
