Question Symptoms of a flywheel installed backwards?

Can anyone give me a list of symptoms you might have when
a flywheel is installed backwards?

Thanks!

Say it aint so!

Um, IIRC the flywheel normally extends out wards toward the transmission if installed "normal." If someone were to face it the other way, it would move the whole pressure plate and clutch away from the clutch servo. There would probably be hardly any feel on the clutch pedal until you got right to the floor where it may or may not contact the pressure plate. Either way though, the clutch would not be disengaging.

I would think this would be very hard to do. Considering the starter has to engage the flywheel also, it may be impossible or the car may make a loud grinding sound and not start.

You'd go backwards when in gear, and forward when in reverse.
Lol, j/k. You'd have no ability to engage the clutch. There'd also possibly be sever racket if the flywheel hits anything. If you can even get it on.

Yea, the clutch material would eat the
backside alive if it could even reach it...
And I dont think the starter ring would
even be inline with the starter bendix...

A friend, eh??

I mean Daniel.... they get so offended when we flame them and laugh at them... but then people keep asking retarded questions like this.

And just so you know... it is physically impossible to install a flywheel on a crank snout backwards and NOT rub something or be able to mount the clutch.

I did not think you could even get it on backwards.
This guy was asking me saying some guy installed it on his
truck BACKWARDS and he actually had the thing operate for a couple of miles before it would not engage.

I was thinking how the hell did it EVER engage and how it was possible for it to fit on there.
No one ever said anything or asked anything about doing it WITHOUT it rubbing.
I was wondering and thought it would be impossible to fit on at ALL.
Of course it was funny!... I was laughing my butt off when he was telling me about it!

As for you Miracle... you say this forum is the laughing stock of other Mustang forums? Then why are you here? And what the hell are you talking about "they get so mad at us when we flame them."?
Who are you talking about? I have'nt seen anyone mad here....
I guess you must be involved in some sort of internet forum fight or something with someone.

Even with that.. I don't see how asking about a wild event that you did not think was possible
and asking if it WAS what would happen... would make a forum a "laughing stock".
Besides, there's nothing wrong with a good laugh on forums every once in a while.

I don't see what the hell that has to do with this being a good forum or not.
I have seen wild and humorous stories on just about every single Mustang forum there is.

I'm interested in seeing also where people are saying this forum is a laughing stock.
It would be interesting to see some examples of this from you.

This forum has a pretty good reputation and in fact this forum is a very good forum.
