Default 2009 GT Mods?

I'm thinking of adding a couple of mods to my bone stock 2009 Orange GT coupe. It has a manual transmission and axel back straight pipes. Would Ford Racing 4:10 gears, Ford Racing Lowering P-springs, Ford Racing CAI and SF3 Tuner make a big difference in the performance of my car? I have never done any mods on a car before and would like a little more performance out of my GT!

Oh yes the tune alone will wake these cars up a great deal, its one of the first mods anybody on here will tell you to do along with gears.I got my CAI and tuner a while back and it was great, but I suggest a custom tune from Bama or Brenspeed. The preloaded tunes are better than stock but the custom ones are even better.

Thanks for the advice! I was looking at American Muscle and they mention tunes by Bama.

Yes on the FRPP gears.

There are better choices for suspension than FRPP. Check with Sam Strano in the handling section.

NO to the FRPP tune. You'll only see about 1/2 to 2/3 the power that you'd get from a Brenspeed or AM tune.

Brenspeed, AM, JDM all have great tunes with an CAI. 4.10 gears will make it feel even faster. Do it all at once. Tune and CAI took a half second off my quarter mile times.

I was looking at the Detroit Rockers. Do you have any problems with those cams? They sounded good from the write up.

4.10's and a Steeda CAI with SCT tuner will be a great place to start. You can do the cai/tuner combo first, you can install it yourself.

Go with the Bama tunes and if you're looking at cams, go Hot Rod cams from FRPP! They make great power if calibrated correctly. We probably send out 100 cam files a week for 3v's with Cams, and every time the Hot Rod cam files sound the best when we get video clips and dyno results back. They make really good power, just alot of people don't know how to dial the VCT in for that cam.

The Bama 93 octane Race tune with C&L Racer intake is awesome!

I use it on my 2007 Grabber Orange GT (manual) with FRPP Intake Manifold, C&L Racer CAI, FRPP CJ Throttle Body, Hot Rod Cams...
