c&l intake

If I add the c&l intake do I need a custom tune? The only othert hing I have are the slp axle back exhaust. I read in a magazine that the computer can recalculate for the extra air flow, is this true and safe?

YES you need a retune. NO, the comp does not compensate correctly.

I lost power until I got tuned then I gained a good bit.

Yes the larger MAF will make your A/F really lean without the tune. I have several C&L tunes that work really really well. I run them on my car with great results. If you have any questions about it let me know.
