Arrow Clutch question

Hey guys

I need to know about how many miles you put in your car before you needed to replace your clutch on your S197?

It depends how you drive it. If you ride the clutch or slip it at high rpm and heat it up it could go in a few months. Driven skillfully it should last years. I am sure others will have more specific information but essentially it comes down to driver skill and driving conditions.

Hope this helps.

I say drive it until it starts slipping. By that time, it'll be time for all new friction surfaces, clutch and flywheel.

My 05 had about 80k on it when the PLASTIC hydraulic slave cylinder assembly literally cracked in half and spewed brake fluid all over the highway. The clutch wasn't slipping or anything before that, but had to be replaced after the brake fluid bath.

So my mom had this 97 ranger she passed on to me before I got my 5.0 and it had 250,000 miles on the 14 year old clutch ... Tells you alot about driving habits ... (I replaced the clutch about 3 months ago)
