Well, I just got a 05 GT and i'm dyeing to make some mods already, haha. So i'm thinking a good first buy would be a CDC 2005 GT Shaker System. I like the look of a real working hood scoop but I want to know from you guys if it really improves the mustangs power that much. I mean, does it improve on horspower aswell? If so, how much on average for a stock stang. I want this mod to be the first I make but some suggestions on what to add on after that would be appreciated! My goal is to finally top this babys HP at close to 400 and I know it can be done. Theres a pic of the scoop in the link below for reference.

The shaker kit, while functional, doesn't increase power at all. It is mainly a "looks" mod.

If your looking for power, a CAI and computer tune are probably your first stop.

The Shaker is cool, and if you want 400 N/A horses, you have the money to do the Shaker too! After that, CAI, tuner, TB, LT's, O/R X-pipe, UDP's, Port and Polish, Cams, 4.10's. You'll be close to 400 at the crank for somewhere in the 5K (doing the install's yourself) range and running very low 12's!
