I was tempted to get it, but then I tried to remember the last time I wanted to look straight up while driving, and came up with nothing. That and its added weight.

I work at a Naval base where new aircraft are tested constantly; you never know when an F-35 is going to be flying overhead. It's always nice to be able to look up at a stoplight and see one of them directly over your roof, knowing had you not had the glass roof you'd never know where it was and you'd never see it.

I wouldnt want a glass roof.
The extra weight is something I'm not fond of.
And for some reason it just does not remind me of something that would be on a Mustang either lol.
Not knocking anyone that has one at all though. They are pretty cool in a way.

^^^^ Agreed. They're cool in a way, But just not something I'm really into....not to mention that 2 grand could be put to much better use on the car.

have to agree with hawkeye18; i live right near an airforce base, and its one of the most amazing things to see. plus it gives a badass look to the car, i believe, it's very slick and different from anything else out there. its awesome to have open when the moon is full and the night sky is bright, or when it's raining. as far as it weighing more -shrugs- never stopped me from winning at the finish line

Yeah, I ran a 12.75 at the strip on a tune and nothing else. I don't see the weight of the roof holding the car back any. Seriously, it's 28lbs. They say every 100lbs gets you a tenth, right? So the glass roof costs you 0.028 seconds at most.

I have the glass roof in my 2009 GT. It really makes the interior seem much more open. The shade can be manually closed to cover any portion of the glass that you wish (I leave it fully retracted 95% of the time). It hasn't really reached summer here in Indiana, so I can't tell if the car gets too hot (I park in a garage anyway during the day). I had thought about a convertible, but this can be enjoyed all year round with no loss of structural ridigity. Plus, it looks great with lighter colors (mine is vapor silver).

Cool

Here are my 2 cents.

Whether or not to get a glass roof depends on the color of the car. I think it looks really great with dark colors especially all black with an all black interior. However, I do not like it with any of the light colors. I doubt I want to pay $2,000 for the feature, but it is a nice option especially if you can get a deal on the car itself from the dealer.
