Default Idle rough

For some reason sometimes when I start my car it will idle very rough jumping from 1000 rpm to 0 back and forth a couple times and sometimes even stalls out also it will move a little while sitting at stop lights also just not as much a's when I first start I have a 93 am tune installed I return to stock and the problem was gone. Of course I can't leave it stock too long because of the steeda intake. Can I adjust my idle in the tune to fix ??

Although I'm not sure why returning to stock would help IF the issue is mechanical, I'm leaning towards the simple things that are symptomatic of what you're describing such as a dirty TB, clogged fuel filter, dirty MAF, etc.. I'd give those a shot first. It's possible the stock tune is a little more forgiving and I'd play that card before considering it to be solely tune-related.

Clean your throttle body first. 9 times out of 10 thats the problem. i clean mine out 2-3 times every year.

The easiest is to get some CRC TB cleaner and a lint-free rag and simply wipe down the TB after removing the intake tube. For more serious cleaning, folks will remove the TB completely.

All you really need to do it clean the throttle body by getting a can of tb cleaner at autozone or something, removing intake and spray it in there and wipe the dirt out with a clean rag.

That's very possible. Adding electrical load at idle will pull down an engines idle speed due to the greater load on the alternator but that's not always indicative of an electrical problem. The S197's have had chronic issues with the charging system, including poor performance from the sh** OE MotorCrap batteries. A weak battery can degrade the S197's alternator and vice versa. If you suspect it's electrical, then by all means have the battery and alternator load tested. AND, if you do still have the OE Motorcrap battery under the hood, then you're living on borrowed time. Mind you, not ALL of the MotorCrap batteries are garbage as there are quite a few still going strong in '05's and '06's (my g/f's '06 OE battery is doing well, knock-on-wood) as well as my '07 but it's good to have it checked to be sure.

Not to threadjack but I had the same issue when running my defroster. Stalled the car as i was sitting at a stoplight so I figured i'd just let my foot off the clutch. Started it back up, went a few more lights, and it stalled again.

Anyway, the fuel filter, tb cleaner, and maf cleaner are all cheap and you can knock all three out in one go.
