Default SCT tuner and Bama tunes

I finally broke down and placed an order for an SCT tuner and Bama tunes from American Muscle. Can any of you good folks that have ordered a tuner and tunes from AM tell me what sort of turn around time you experienced? I'm chomping at the bit to get this and am just curious to know how long it took to recieve your order.

Thanks much.

Jim

yeah I think it took them 3-4 business days to make the tunes and then it shipped after that. Being in AZ, I ordered on a Tuesday and received the CAI and Tuner the following wednesday.

I ordered the 87 street, 89 performance, and 93 race tunes. I'm naturally aspirated with a Roush(Airaid) CAI and a 5 speed manual. Went conservative with the tunes since this is my daily driver.

What sort of gains have you folks seen? Noticeable difference in performance? What about gas mileage?

I got the same with the JLT CAI. Got the 87 performance, 93 street and 93 race tunes. The 87 gets BETTER mpg than stock. The 93 race is a beast! On the downside, daily driving on that tune becomes an issue, though. Damn thing wants to either stall or peel out at lights. Tricky. I run the 93 street daily. You'll LOVE getting rid of the throttle lag, though, on ANY tune!

Same here. I recommend trying all of them . Start with the lowest octane first, i think its 87 performance is the lowest. The highest i went with was 91 race cause its hard to find 93 around here. But i been running race for a year and never had a problem. will never ever go back.

yeah I have been running the race tune since filling up with 91. It did take some time to get used to cause the car just wants to get up and go but its fine for my daily driver.

My MPG went down but thats probably because I cant keep my foot off the throttle.

Took me 3 days to get the tuner and CAI kit. You are going to freaking amazed how much difference it makes. I also got the 87, 89, and 93 tunes. I put the 89 on first and was shocked. So do I need to tell you my reaction to the 93 tune? Have had no issues at all since putting it on about a month ago. As for gas mileage I was at about 20.2 and dropped to 18.8. So what roughly 1 mpg loss. Only downside is I will probably need some new tires before long. Enjoy!

I found the CAI made a huge difference to supplement the tune. I went with JLT cause of the price mainly and someone told me plastic dissipated heat better, i dont know if that was a sales pitch. anyway i bought it and the two are part in parcel and work great. one of the best tune.

PS: The CAI will increase 5-8 bhp on top of the tune. Plus the sound was good although faint. Put a 4.10 as next mod and you'll get a beast
