Default Car Alarm Mess..

So in my other post the problem with my car was it not starting after unhooking the battery. Tonight I was cleaning up the engine bay and found what looks like an old car alarm module mounted to the firewall, with the wires snipped off. Last night after hooking the battery up there was a box/module under the passenger side dash that was clicking, it has the same wire the alarm module on the firewall has, along with two harnesses full of other wires. I did some research on car alarms and read that they could cause the car not to start after unhooking the battery. I'm guessing the previous owner had difficulties and snipped the wires thinking this would rid his problems. Will a dealer be able to tear out all these wires and make everything back to normal if I can't tell him what type of alarm it was?

If it's not OEM then no. Yank the box off the firewall to see if there's a manufacturer name on it and contact the manufacturer to find out who in your area is an authorized installer. They will be able to resolve the problem.
