Default Guys who have switched to 4.10s

Does anyone have any before/after impressions? I'm thinking about getting some 4.10s dropped in but I want to see just how much difference it's going to make coming from 3.55s. Vids would be great!

Youtube has failed me for once. There are a couple acceleration vids, but I can't really tell the difference. Someone needs to make a vid with 3.55s and then a 4.10 to see the difference.

I went from 3.55 to 4.10, using FRPP gears. You will notice quite a difference on the low end, 1st gear runs out pretty quick, you will need to get used to that or will end up bouncing off the rev limiter. Car pulls nicely on the highway in 5th, dropping down to 4th really gets you going. I think I'm turning around 2500 @ 70mph, not too bad, but if you do a lot of highway driving you may want to consider that. Depending on what you have for exhaust, you might get into a droning RPM on the highway.

I went from 3:55's to 4:10s thinking I'd never go supercharged. I put on my Roushcharger this winter and before I drove it I was thinking damn, I'm gonna have to dig up the old 3:55's and put them back in. Well.....hell no after driving it. I still LOVE the 4:10's. Where I was roasting all the way through first and a 1/4 way through second, I now with F/I and gears I'm obliterating first, melting all the way through second while drifting and catching a long bark when hitting third. Trade all this fun to go back to 3:55's? NO WAY lol. Bigger tires someday will solve the traction issues but for now I'm just having fun.

I doubt you will be able to find a video showing the difference. It's more a seat of the pants feeling.

But yes, I went from 3.55 to 4:10's and wouldn't look back for a second. As stated, first runs out quick so get used to shifting fast but the entire car just winds up much faster. Noticable difference.

I went from 3.55 to 4.10 and it made a retarded amount of difference. However, get them installed right, and you will love them. Get them installed wrong, and you will have whine like many people do , including me. Sometimes it drives me crazy, but the majority of time im cool with it. My wife cant stand to be in the car cause the torque is too much though. But again, im alone in the car 99.9999999 %, so who cares. You cant go wrong with the upgrade. Just do your research and find a reputable guy that knows what they are doing when installing them. Cause everyone will claim they are an expert, which is a load of s h i t !!!

Sounds like I'll have some 4.10s soon! I really need to stop with the mod bug before it gets too bad though. :S

going from 3.55's would make more sense going to 4.10's
not too much difference if you went to 3.73's
4.10's are not too much with a TS, IMO. you just have to get the right tires, suspension, and driver mod to hook up correctly.
suspension and more power go hand in hand no matter what gears or SC you have.
