2007 GT CS

2007 GT CS
Quick question,
I'm looking at purchasing a 2007 GT CS. It has 17000 miles on it, is certified used, and is in mint condition. Leather seats, 4.6V8. spoiler, decent tires, shaker stereo. I'd like to know a few things:
- What is a fair price for the car? Right now I'm at 21,800 negotiating with them.
- What are some of the more common problems with Mustangs that I could run into?
- How is the market for GT CS? Will it hold its resale more than a GT?
- Would you recommend getting the extended warranty?
Thank you!
Wes

all good questions...I'll just comment on the first...I'd sell ya my 09 GT/CS with 5021 miles for $23.5, fyi as a comparison...I'd say, because it's a CS, 20 should be your price with those miles...
edit...auto or manual? what gears are in it?

My '07 GT with plenty of factory upgrades and a few of my own, garage kept with 36k miles, might only bring $17k, $18k tops. I wouldn't sit in the dealership chair for anything over $18k-$19k.
There are a pile of TSB's listed in the stickies. Familiarize yourself with these, especially the water leak TSB.

As a comparison, I purchased my 08GT with 7300 miles for 22K about 10 months ago...but it was a have to have price IMO. I would say 18-20K is the mark. As for the CS feature, it is an appearance package that would bring little to the table as far as resale value over a GT...figure another 500-700 over a GT on a good day.
EW's are a personal preference for piece of mind...I personally passed, but it would be subject to the price and coverage provided.
Now get back in there and get the deal done bro! As I have stated before, after you mod up the car (and you will), you can kiss equity bye-bye after you factor in the price of parts into the total you pay for the stang...so don't sweat the price you pay, just get a good deal and a sound car and enjoy!

Thanks guys, I love this forum. Unfortunately, that particular gt cs sold yesterday, but I found another one. 2007 with 32000 miles. Looks better than the one I looked at before. Asking 19900. I'll take your guys advice and make a good deal. Thinking no more than 17500.
Keep you posted, and thanks again!
