Hey guys, I was looking to get some opinions on what the best tranny fluid to run is for keeping heat down. With the stock fluid my tranny seems to get pretty hot at times and then I have issues with 2nd gear. Thanks for any input.

Manual or auto trans? I have an auto and use Valvoline Mercon V. Are you sure there is enough fluid in there? Auto trans will spit out hot fluid. I use a trans catch can to solve that issue.

its a manual and theres no dipstick or anyway to check the level of the fluid as far as i know.

The auto is the same way. Tacobill has a write up for that. Just do a search on this site for it.

Amsoil and RP are both excellent synthetics. I'm partial to Amsoil.

You CAN check the fluid level on manual transmissions. Just like any other manual trans.
