Default Fuel Shut-off back seat?

I have a 2006 Ford Mustang GT and have an issue with the back seat. Anytime anyone sits in the back seat on the driver's side, it blows the fuse to the fuel pump.
To this point, the answer has been to not let anyone sit in the back, LOL. However, I would like some information on why it does this and how to fix it.

The car has a custom red leather interior that was installed by the previous owner so I don't know if it is something like a wire pinched in the seat or what.

Thanks for any help with this matter.

I am not familiar with the 06 Mustang but from your description I would be very suspicious of a pinched wire loom under the rear seat likely related to the custom work. Remove the seat and trace the route of the loom under it. The problem will probably be at one of the attachment points and be fairly obvious.

Yes, it sounds as if you've answered your own question; just need to verify it and make what should be a simple repair.

Yep, the fuel pump and pick-up are located under the drivers side rear seat.
The power wires for the in tank fuel pump are right there under the cushion.
