Ok so im looking at axel backs and am deciding between magnaflows and these ford racing ones. All the sound clips ive heard of them have them being a bit boomey on the mic.

Im looking for a deep growl not the usual race car timber sound. has anyone heard these in person, they do come standard on the Bullitts. how do they compare to a stock gt? a little louder, much louder, deeper? maybe they really do have the race car sound and not the old school muscle car sound.
also if anyone can tell how they compare to the magnas.
i see the magnas are all polished SS with 4" tips. the GTBs have only 3.5" polish tips. i know its a for show thing but it is a point.

Nuke

The GT's (FRPP Stingers) are louder than the GTA's and GTB's. I can't say how much louder than the OE muffs the GTB's are.

I have the GTB'S with a stock midpipe......they are a "little" louder and a "little" deeper in sound. I have heard a maggy axleback with cats and with an offroad X - they sound great with the offroad! but are quite quiet with the stock midpipe - i like the maggy muffler tips better too. In hindsight, i should have saved up for a set of magnapacks because as the gtb's DO sound nice outside of the car imo, i would have liked em a little louder. i'm assuming you've seen my utube clip, but for sum reason u haven't:
