Default Roush Experts needed!!

Hello

On the 2005 roush mustangs The area inside the head light is painted the same color of the car. Before I brake something dose anyone have an idea how that housing comes out and how to pull it all apart

There have actually been several people on the different boards discussing how to get the headlight cover off of the housing. Most common theory is to bake it in a low temp oven ( maybe 200 degrees or so ) until the glue gets hot then carefully cut the glue seal.

There was one person that posted info about someone that was doing them for $1k. NFW I am going to pay that. I would recommend picking up a spare set off of fleabay or somewhere else to work with. That way you don't take a chance of breaking one that you need.

i have taken apart many headlights. I use a heatgun and slowlyand steadily heat up the glue, and pull apart. Not too hard, buy a spare set and maybe go to a junk yard and buy a broken headlight to practice on. Cant wait until my spare set comes in. Theres gonna be more than just paint inside..

Are you sure all the Roush's for '05 had this done?? I haven't seen any like the pic you posted. Maybe that is a proto type show car or one of the '06 Stage cars?

Thats also the first painted grill and fog light trims I've seen. Looks pretty cool!

If you want an extra set to play with and not risk it, I think you can get the actual OEM parts (Take Off Parts) from Saleen for $150.

I'm not sure if all of them are painted like that, but that perticular set of pictures has been floating around for quite a while. It is definitely not a 06

To my knowledge that was the show car for the unveiling by Roush. You will also note in those pictures that the grill was painted as well. I have a 05 Roush and the light assembly and the grill are not painted to match the car.

That's how me and my dad's ROUSH was.

scheetz83, the pics you supplied were of the 1st Stage III ROUSH. Those ROUSH's have the full body kit (All stages), suspension(Stages 2+3), and a ROUSH Supercharger (Stage 3). Stage 3's have all the goodies. Prices should be near $51,000 for the Stage 3.
