Default what to expect at the track?

I'm taking my dads bone stock '07 gt auto to the track tomorrow since my car decided to grenade it's trans. Just wondering what i should expect, low 14's? It will have my 17x9 cobras on it with 275/40 555r's so traction wont be a problem. but still has heavy 18's up front and full weight, stock down to the paper filter. any guesses?

I took my 06 GT manual to the track a month after I got it, all stock, and the best I could do was 13.89. Most were right at 14-14.1

No traction, inexperienced driver

You could run the stock tires and do the same times as on those nitto's imo..

the dog 3.31 gears don't chirp the tires too hard, and the stock tune?? Wow, talk about soft and slow shifting lol

I'd run 14.5s all day long in mine when I first got mine... interestingly enough, a C&L CAI/tune and it dropped it down to 13.5's all day.

TC off and OD off, run in Drive. I ran 13.9 @99 mph completly stock. Do a small burnout just to clean off the tires. I ran tires at normal psi.

times were horrible. no traction problems at all but couldn't muster any better than a 2.2 60'. Just couldn't get up on the converter enough. best time was a 14.40@95. pretty slow imo. but all well it's got a baseline now. really wish the trans in my '00 wouldn't have grenaded tho, 11's would have been much better than middle 14's lol

They're not bad times.. if you really think about it, it's only about 245whp if that (with the auto), the stock converter and 3.31's gears aren't exactly a match made in heaven either lol.. great for mpg though!

What was the DA? I bet it was high. Did you run it cold or let it warm up? Running cold will net you 2-3 tenths faster. 2.2 sixty foot was what I was getting stock as well.

i have no idea what the da was, it was a good temp outside, about 65, but it feld just a tad humid. and the car wasn't hot, and i think between runs it cooled down for about 45 minutes or so. we were there from 12-6 and I only made about 5 runs.

either way tho, we got some baseline numbers. so now next summer when my dad makes a few tweaks he can see what it does.

Seeing some of these other numbers makes me feel better about my 13.89 best and 14+ average. Granted I was running half tank of gas, shaker 1000 subs in the trunk, and warm engine besides the first pass.

Dunno how much advantage/disadvantage my manual would be?
