Did you do anything to fix the speedometer issue from having different gears? Or are you just going to use a GPS to figure out the reading error and do Kentucky wind-age?

To answer everyones questions my install was $450 and the gears with the bearings n fluid was like $230 ish. But I will pay whatever to have gears done.

Second I just used my sct tuner and set my new gear ratio to 4.10s and problem solved.

3rd thing yes the stock tires will be gone in a flash need some fatties out back

Now I have my own question. I have a slight rear shake at 24-25 mph. I researched the subject and most said its either the driveshaft being unbalanced, pinion angle, tires or just the gears, or actually it could be many things. But i took my tires off and just Re torqued the lugs. Tomorrow I will call the installer and let him know but I don't feel like giving my car up for a day again so I will mess with it myself, unless he can take a quick look at it. I am going to remove the driveshaft and re torque all the bolts with loc tite. Also an adj uca is my next mod anyway. I read that nothing negative will come from this, I hope, and it's not affecting performance. I will admit I'm aggravated for paying for the install and having this issue especially from this guy, he's pretty reputable. At least theres no gear whine and the car runs good. Gears are tricky, It could be worse. : shrugs:

So I guess my question is are there any immidiate negatives to this?

So I took my car back to the shop and they quickly fixed the vibration issue. The driveshaft just had to be torqued down again as I suspected. Anyway the gears are great I love them, and from a dig the car is a monster now compared to before.

I not only did 5 heat cycles when we had the 4.10's in our 06GT installed, I also took it easy for 500mi.

Was told to do this and I always say better off safe than sorry.

It's funny you say that because my buddy and I drove down to atco raceway last night (about an hour drive. I'm about 10 minutes away from the track and it starts raining, a friend of mine called and said they had just closed the track for the night due to the rain. So I had to turn around and drive back. I'm just really anxious to run this thing for the first time. I'm getting/installing my adj uca next week, and other than that I just need some big tires out back so I can hook.
