What's your RPM's?
I have an auto with stock 3:31 rear. At 60 MPH I'm turning 1800 RPM. At 70 MPH I'm turning 2100 RPM. What are you manual guys turning at these speeds with the stock 3:55's?
I'm wondering if the 5th gear in the manual is taller to compensate for the lower (numerically higher) rear end. If so, if I should swap in a 3:55 then I would think the auto would have an acceleration advantage, NO?

RE: What's your RPM's?
I was just out on 495 in Md, and I checked my rpms at 70 for you. I was really close to your number, maybe about 2050 at 70, a little lower maybe. I didnt check at 60, but i will next time. By the way, I am totally stock right now, but i want to do some stuff like put 410's in and maybe a chip or reprogram. Any suggestions on the latter?

RE: What's your RPM's?
As far as a reprogram I recommend the C&L set up from Brenspeed with xcal-2. I think it's the best bundle setup out there. Brent is very informative and great to deal with. It'll really wake up your car. As far as new gears go, I've heard alot of people getting the 4.10s but with my vert I like to cruise and I don't plan on going with anything lower than 3.73s. In fact I'd like to just put in the 3.55s from a manual car. It'll only raise my RPM' about 150 and I think it'll get me what I want as far as added acceleration.
