Angry Opinions needed

I was recently driving my 07 and hit a decent pothole in the road(I tried to miss it but it was dark)I noticed this terrible clunking noise afterward and drove it home.Well as I was driving to work the next day,The clunking got worse, when I would shift gears and as I was taking off. Then as I am taking off from a light something gives and the car wont move,it goes into gear but wont pull at all.I look underneath and see that the factory 3 link support thats on the rear differental has broke, both sides, right where it bolts to the frame. So my question is what could have made the car not pull anymore,I was thinking that it was the driveshaft pulled away from the rearend but who knows.Any opinions would be appreciated.

the rear may have shifted and pulled the drive shaft from the tranny(rear is bolted) like you said but, you won't know until you jack the car up. One hell of a F*****G pot-hole. Insurance will cover the damage....happened to my brother last year and insurance covered the cost minus the deductible.

POT HOLE?!? Are you sure you didn't hit the Grand Canyon???

I've hit some MAJOR winter potholes made by semis and tri axles - and NOTHING like that has happened

I hope its an easy fix man, good luck

Ok so found out that the upper rear control arm mounting plate broke cause the bolt that holds it on that is directly under the back seat came loose! The Fu#$%r was all of the way out just laying there!Well this in turn caused the driveshaft to break. As I had the car on jackstands I put it in gear and my buddy said the first half would spin but the back half was not,and theres white grease spinning out.I guess the factory 2 piece has some kind of CV joint between it.I am looking to buy a 1 piece alum. one to replace it with.Is this a better option or can I just replace the CV joint inbetween my stock one?I doubt that they sell just the joint itself, and if im gonna have to buy a new one, might as well get a better one. Thanks for any advice.
