Decide On a Cluch

Decide On a Cluch
Well, I need a clutch recommended
I don't like having to floor the clutch like stock.
Its a daily driver so it has to be usable in traffic, and it needs to be able to stand up to working on the track/strip occasionally
Thanks

I just had the McLeod RST installed with the McLeod steel flywheel this past weekend on my daily driver. I am still in the 500 mile break-in period, but the pedal feels amazing. It really drives much like stock, but with instant grabbing as you start to release the clutch.
Remember to replace the ford racing pilot bearing and OEM slave cylinder while you are in there. Also, I replaced the transmission fluid with Royal Purple which really seems to cut down on heat. My hurst shifter would get hot during normal driving and now it seems to stay cool. But then again its not summer time so time will tell.
I had planned on using the OEM flywheel, but from what I found was it isnt recommended since they have found heating issue which seem to be related to the fact that the stock flywheels doesn't match up well. Save yourself a headache and get the matching McLeod flywheel, but stay away from the aluminum for daily driving.
Just my 2cents

STAY AWAY FROM SPEC!
So many people including me have had nightmares with them.
Go Mcleod or EXEDY. Cannot go wrong with either of these.
I personally would not go with any other brands.
Mcleod is pricey but well worth it.
Exedy is less and an AWESOME clutch as well.
We put one in our 06GT and LOVED IT.
Go with their flywheel as well. Don't resurface your old one with this clutch.
Go with either of these two.
They are the best and the others have had reliability problems to an extent in one way or another. ESPECIALLY SPEC.
I did not heed the words of others when I got my SPEC and regretted it to no end.
Thousands of dollars spent in the end just to get a good damn clutch put in.
Don't be one of the ones that don't heed the words of the wise people on this forum.
I've been around long enough now to know my stuff of a lot of subjects including
clutches. So if you need anything PM me.
Also... make sure you give your car 500 mi. of soft driving with the new clutch to let the clutch mate to the flywheel or you may end up buying a new one.
No above 3k RPM driving for 500miles of IN CITY driving.
