The California Special is a special edition Mustang. But if I am not mistake the only differences between it and a normal 05-09 is its appearance (different front and rear bumpers, wheels, and the stripe on the sides)
As for which is better that depends, do you enjoy low end torque or more power up top? The '11+ V6 is very respectable, but it is fairly "slow" down low. Once you get into the higher RPMs though the car really starts to perform well.
The GT is going to have more torque down low, it will beat a '11+ V6 in most cases, but not by very much. And it isn't going to get the good gas mileage of the V6. The California doesn't seem like a great deal either. The 05-09s have been going for quite a bit lower than that recently. You could also talk the dealer down on that V6 because it looks to be very base besides being a convertible.

Thanks a lot for your replying.
But I dont get it very well. Are u saying a 11V6 is almost the same as 05-09GT?
GT has a higher acceleration and a higher top speed but V6 has a better gas mileage, is that right?

That '11 is way overpriced, I got mine with less miles for 2.5k less than that from a stealership, at that - being a vert does not add that much to the cost of used cars, there was a vert next to mine for only 1k more (still 1.5k less than your example). Hit them with a few price comparisons that are lower and see if they will come down on it -if you like the car.
A 05-09 ('10) GT vs a 11+ V6, The GT will pull on the lower end and is indeed faster - but is not that much faster truly; will sound meatier! (no disrespect to the GT guys). Ford crafted quite an engine in their new Durotec 3.7l.. I wouldn't own a v6 mustang until this new engine came out (personal feelings only, nothing to say or do with quality of previous stang v6's, I only have hear-say knowledge). Doesn't sound like you're looking to mod if you're going to sell it when you're done with school, but a simple CAI+tune puts a v6 11+ on par with a 05-09 (10) GT, with potentially better gas mileage (lead foots will vary). Likely a longer warranty timeframe on the newer '11, something to consider.
Both being verts, you're going to get a lil extra weight either way. That actually makes the GT more viable given the better low-end.
Go to a local dealership and I'm sure you'll find examples of both for you to drive (and also compare interiors). I felt the 10+ interiors were a little better looking than the 05-09 but again that's just personal opinion/tastes.
GL with your buy, keep digging and looking and get a test drive in, it will help make the choice easier!

Comes down to what you like, after driving both you'll know. Keep in mind with gas, if you keep your foot out of it, with 3.55's my 08 GT gets 21 or so driving around town and nearly 30 on the highway, so don't let gas mileage affect your decision too much.
Plus, you can't beat the sound of a V8. You just can't
