I finally found the squeak that has been driving me absolutely bonkers. Posting here in case someone else is having a similar issue. So where was the squeak? the top rubber mount for the spring where it comes in contact with the body. I took the springs out then pulled out the rubber mount, greased it up liberally on the part that comes in contact with the body, put it back in, put the springs back in, and no more squeaks!
