Best CAI without tune?

Airaid is actually the company that makes the Roush CAI, just more expensive due to the Roush name. I have the Airaid CAI on my Sixxer and did NOT experience any code or sensor issues, before installing my custom tunes. The installation was very simple and the instructions were easy to follow.
Honestly, the performance gain is minimal, maybe (5-7) HP increase in the upper RPM range. The HP gain maybe a bit higher for a GT, but not sure? The performace gain mostly comes from my custom Brenspeed tunes! If you purchase a CAI w/out a custom tune, do not expect a huge performance difference.
I've heard the stock airbox on the 2010+ are a lot more efficient than the 2005 - 2009 stock airbox. Some folks skip the CAI and just get the custom tune!

First, the Airaid system will allow you to run without a tune. The system comes with a ventury that you insert into the tube going from the filter to the throttlebody. Later, when you opt for a tuner, you remove the ventury and you are good to go.
Second, I understand that Ford has a way of knowing if you do change the tune in a 2011 and later Mustang. And it is not just the computer tune that they can track. Other performance changes are tracked as well. So be careful with mods while it is still under warranty. As I understand Ford does not think that there is that much reliable power left in the new engines. Remember the Boss make better numbers, but like the original Boss's they have different/better parts.

The '10 GT breathes a bit easier from the factory than the '05-'09s. That and the FRPP Bullitt tune is what gains you that 15 crank HP. Adding a stand-alone CAI to a '10 is more useless (if that's even possible) than adding a stand-alone CAI to an '05-'09. Also, catbacks and axlebacks won't gain you any power, either; just improved exhaust note.

My first 2012 GT was a premium with auto, sync...all the bells and whistles was $31k out the door.
Now granted, I put down a hell of a lot of $$ on my down payment...so they were dealin
The '12 I
