Default Where to start?

hey guys, so ive poked my head in and around here a little bit.

ive got a 2005 GT, 5 speed manual with the 3:55 gears in it (as per the tag on the diff) it is a non IUP car, without mycolor, pretty much just a basic GT,

my question is, where to start mod wise? looking to stay away from the engine right at this second cuz I ultimately want to supercharge the car so I dont really wanna redo anything under the hood.

currently, the car has a full catback (2.5 inch tubes all the way back without the kink the factory tubes have.)

do these cars like x-pipes or h-pipes? will a new midpipe require a tune?

do LTs make a good difference in power?

what are the best suspension parts?, I want to lower it about an inch or so looks like a 4x4 right now. what are some good parts, i.e. springs, control arms, upper control arm, panhard bar?

is a solid 1-piece driveshaft worth the investment?

in the next week or so I plan on getting a Hurst competition plus, love the look of that shifter and heard good reviews.

as for rims, I know what I want, either SVE drifts or Brembo rims off the new 5.0s.

thanks

coming from a foxbody, which was "simpler to work on"

Cold air intake and tune package from either American Muscle or Brenspeed. Ford Racing gears, either 3.73's or 4.10's. The more mods you have to the engine the better the Long Tubes will perform. I have seen lots of positive posts about the one piece DS but have not installed on mine so not sure. Tokico shocks and struts are great. Steeda makes great mods for these mustangs, check out their site; suspension, shifters such as the Tri-Ax, exhaust, cold air intakes, etc. BMR has great suspension as well. Good luck.

thanks.

these cars respond to mods as well as the old 5.0s? kind of made a huge jump from a 20 year old convertible to a 6 year old car with over half the mileage.
