Well, The manuals have it, Hard too believe that the automatic was an option worth more money. Can you imagine the money ford would of made had it been the other way around?!

poll lacked the automatic 6 speed option. it's rigged.

also, most of these people who voted for manual either haven't been to the drag strip or don't care if they don't run great times

and, automatic transmissions always cost more to manufacturer. have fun replacing your clutch...

I can shift just as fast as those automatics when I'm on an adrenaline rush.

While an automatic may indeed be able to post better times at a drag strip it just proves that people are letting a machine do the work while they just go along for the ride.

If you want control of your car going through curves whether street or track it has to be a manual for the best control and speed. I can't imagine having a performance car like the Mustang with an automatic.

Also, in the '11+ cars, the automatic has proven itself to stand up to above 600 HP at the wheels. The MT82 6spd manual is full of stories of failures (though alot of them are BS, there are still some legit ones).

I have to vote manual just for the enjoyment it provides when driving the car. Also I would rather replace a clutch every once in a while than deal with a $3000 auto rebuild. In the time I've been driving I've had 5 manual cars/trucks and replaced 3 clutches in almost 400,000 miles of driving, the most expensive was $1000 with labor for a performance clutch. In that same time I've had five auto vehicles (2 cars, 3 trucks) with about the same mileage driven and rebuilt four auto transmissions, the cheapest was $2200. Auto is definitely the way to go for the drag strip or the daily commute but I still have absolutely no confidence in reliability, not to mention the repair and maintenance costs.

Yesterday, while doing yardwork, I stepped in a damn rabbit hole and twisted my left foot. A sprain.

My car is a manual, and stepping on the clutch sucked.
