Bought my 07 GT less than a year ago. In that time I have been a constant on this forum, which has helped me learn alot. Problem is Iam skeptical of what the previous owner did there is a JLT Cold air intake on the car, but somehow I don't think the car was tuned at all...just doesn't perform like what I have heard it should, hope I didn't buy someones mistake.

you can always buy a tuner to match up to the cold air and reflash the comp to fix it if it is

You'd be throwing a code if it didn't have a custom tune. The previous owner should have left the tuner with the car, but you can order one from brenspeed.

What have you heard it should perform like?

Heard it should be capable of burning the tires all the way ththrough 3rd. If so this is not taking place. The previous owner did not leave the tuner with the car, if he even did a tune. Im going to go the safe route and go to brenspeed instead of diving in to this car and really causing problems.

lol i have a c&l racer with a 93 race tune and full exhaust and mine will burn all the way through third if i want it to but i dont, also i could do that when it was stock, if you have cheap tires on the back it will make it even easier, if there was something wrong with your tune, you would throw a code or go into limp mode. you are prob fine to drive it but you can always use a tuner for future mods

Even IF the previous owner tuned it, it could have been a crap canned SCT tune; not a good custom tune like those from Brenspeed, AM, Evo and others.

I didn't know JLT made a no tune intake.

Can't burn tires all the way through 3rd? I'm not sure this is the most logical way to determine there's a problem. Is it a auto or manual? What tires are on the car?

You really need to determine if it's a no tune intake. Post a picture of it. Take it off and post a picture of the inside, maf housing or just ask JLT.

A good tune will fix any problems you think the CAI is causing, unless the CAI is just bad. Otherwise performance problems may not be due to the CAI.
