JLT CAI and brenspeed tune
Hey guys - just installed the JLT series 3 cai and brenspeed 93 octane tune.
the car definitely seems faster. Under WOT however, when i shift gears i hear a little bit of rattling (not sure if it's knocking, sounds like a chain rattling). I've always had a little bit of that in the car. I filled up with 93 octane last night -- was running just regular 87 up until getting the tune/CAI.
I'm going to call brenspeed and see what they say but was wondering if anyone on the forum has experienced that or if it's nothing to worry about.
Will go out and drive some more to test out the newly gained HP.

Also, try different brands of 93. Suggest using brand name gas, and not the unbranded crap. Sunoco has always worked well in my car.
If no luck, then dump a can of Seafoam or Techron fuel system cleaner in the tank. It may take 100-200 miles of driving to clean out any carbon that may have built up inside the combustion chambers.

Speaking from past experience with a Diablosport on a new edge..don't have my tuner for the '05 yet but on my old diablosport it gave me the option to back off the timing a bit..you may try lowering it a bit at a time then test driving to see if it cures the problem

If the pinging persists with other brands, try ethanol-free fuel if you can find it. aotherwise, Brenspeed will likely pull a little timing on an updated tune. Also, have you tried running the other tunes? My 93 Brenspeed tune is great in the upper RPM ranges but it's a dog compared to my 87 and 89 tunes in the lower ranges (which is where I typically drive anyway).
