Me too. What is the long term effect with the rear being off by 1/8th to 1/4 inch?

I honestly don't know the answer to that. I don't think there is any negative effect. I have read that if you go with wider rear wheels it will be more noticable.
I'd shoot an email or pm to the Steeda guys and see what they say.

I've driven it a bit. I'm going to drive it more now that I know there is no issues with driving it with the back off by a quarter inch
