add climate control

It's pretty funny that you'd mention this. Every once in a while (it's happened like or 4 times and my car is a 2010...and it coincidentally did it today while driving home) I'll turn off the heater/AC and my display will freak out and show me a climate control fan display while the fan ramps up speed. It's as if the electronics get confused and it suddenly thinks that it's a climate control equipped car. I'll toggle the power switch and the icon goes away...never to return until the next glitch a year or two later.

I think you should touch base with your Service Manager regarding your AC. He/she’ll be able to let you know if work or replacement is needed and whether there is coverage available (warranty, recall, etc.). Let me know the outcome.

He wants to be able to set the car temp to say 68F and have the car figure out the temp and fan speed automatically. It comes on a lot of Ford trucks. My dads F-150 EcoBoost has it.

gmoran1469- You are correct. My 2005 F-350 has climate control and I never knew how nice it is till you don't have it. So is this an option that was available when ordered? The only option I have is 401a. I am thinking salvage yard or dealer for the panel? Want a factory setup. Thanks!
