Some ahole damaged my ride....paint help
hey guys,
So I noticed yesterday that some ******* screwed up my front passanger fender.
Whats bad is it looks like they hit my car with a door, then hit it again and again. Its pretty a deep set of gouges down to metal. The paint was smashed together at the right side of each scratch. The gouges appear to be about 1 1/4"x1/4 and deep to the metal. It looks like there is black paint either under my paint or from the dip****'s door, dunno.
Im not sure when it happened but I know its less than a week old.
So. I've looked at Dr colorchip and langka. Both seem like decent ways to to at least protect the metal and get rid of the eyesore. however neither seem like I will be happy after the touch up.
I plan to go to a local shop to see what they can do. not really happy with the idea of paint the entire fender. However I know I'll be pissed everytime I see it if the touchup looks like crap.
Thoughts, ideas, info? How do I not go all from this.
/cry

call your insurance, file under "uninsured motorist protection" (edit: if your state allows UMPD), call it a day.
Will be a simple job of detrimming fender, dropping side of bumper cover, little bit of repair time, spot refinish.

gotcha, makes sense now.
Many states have that separate "Uninsured Motorist" that covers hit and run, and if someone hits you with no insurance. I know Mass laws for insurance are funny. The company I worked for did not service there for a long time (might still not) because of the insurance laws in the state.
