Default 2005 GT low whining groan follows wheel speed

I've been hearing a deep whining/groaning sound from 55mph down through 30mph. This happens while being in gear or coasting, clutch in or out. It’s directly related to wheel speed. Seems to be more pronounced when slightly turning left.

That's what I was thinking. But, I took it to Ford and was told my bearings were fine. I checked myself, and the fronts were tight but the rears had a little play in them. Not sure how much play is exceptable.
