Roush vs. Boss on top gear
#32
I think the 18" vs 20" wheel was a big factor. 20's may look good on the street, but they will lose, most every time, in any performance comparison. The lack of sidewall flex reduces traction in a straight line as well as in the curves.
You also have unspung weight to consider. Put the boss wheel/tire combo on the Roush and run them again. I think it would be much closer. That's my $.02

Don't really care for the American Top Gear but some of it was ok. This was the episode;

It's no surprise there..You should check out the Royal Purple Battle of the Forums on youtube. A Shelby GT beat every single car that showed and this includes a Viper and a CTS-V.
On a side note...British Top Gear review of the GT500 is dismal. They basically called the car worthless in every aspect but straight line blasts.

My $.02 on this is if you can't even spell the name of the car (ROUSH, there's no C in it) on the show, they aren't worth listening to.
None of those tests pushed either car to show what they could do.
