Default Modification questons

So I'm looking into getting a few different modifications on my Mustang But I want to make sure I don't blow her up.
So my first question is do I need to wait a certain amount of "break in time" before I start adding some bolt ons and a Bama tune?
I want an Aluminum drive shaft, I've heard they really help 1/4 mile times etc. BUT I want to know in addition if they add some MPG's that's not my main selling point but it would be nice.
Thanks!!

Nope, driveshaft didn't change my mpgs. You can mod away. I installed a cai+tune after 500 miles. Driveshaft for $600ish becomes one of those last mods you do, the gains aren't that great for the cost.

what you do depends on your budget, what your car came equipped with and your goals. (what you want your car to do, and what you'll use it for)

I don't see myself doing a lot of mods. Probably just bolt ons maybe a set of headers, Nitrous if i'm lucky. It's gonna be a 92 mile per day daily driver but i'd love to have some nice 1/4 mile times. I heard from AM review that a guy dropped .3 from his 1/4 mile time.

A 92 mile per day daily driver? I would do the CAI/tune, UD Pulleys, Aluminum Driveshaft, and axle backs to suit exhaust tone tastes. All of those mods(except the axle backs) will help with MPGs...

Don't expect help with fuel mileage, especially as you add performance mods. Even you picked up about 1/2 MPG, you'll eat it up "playing" with the extra power.

Tune for your biggest bang-for-the-buck, then after that its mainly a few RWHP here, a few there..

I had a dirveshaft and UDPs on my '07, i didn't see any better MPGs with them, it stayed exactly the same.

and they dont make UDPs for the '11+.. already has an electronic water pump.

I think my first mod would be another daily driver. Something that gets at least 40mpg.

You'll be putting 33,000 mile per year or more on that car!
