I drive the same. What I've heard are the largest factors when it comes to choosing (especially since it's your daily driver) are:

1. Highway or city miles?
2. Automatic or Manual Trans?

Maybe you could ask in the 4.6L section instead of the V6...

WHICH stock gears? You either have 3.31's or 3.55's.

Going from 3.31s to 4.56s effectivly makes your fith gear
just like your fourth gear is now. The gears are squashed together
and you loose the 'overdrive' effect of your 5th gear as it is now.

3.31s to 3.73s is noticable.
3.55s to 3.73s is not.
3.55s to 4.10 is noticable.
3.31s to 4.10s will make you notice and notice right now.
But the top end and the gas mileage suffers.

3.31 3.55 3.73 4.10 4.56

3.75 12.41 13.31 13.99 15.38 17.10
2.19 7.25 7.77 8.17 8.98 9.99
1.41 4.67 5.01 5.25 5.78 6.43
1.00 3.31 3.55 3.73 4.10 4.56
0.72 2.38 2.56 2.67 2.95 3.28

I've talked to a few people who say to go 3.90 from Richmond, not from Motiv. They say it gives you a good bang for your buck but gas mileage doesn't suffer as bad as 4.10

any interstate travel or extended periods of time spent at speeds of over 60mph, go 3.73...if not 4.10 all day.

4.10s are not bad at all. I went to them from 3.31s and it made the car grow a pair of *****.

With my 4.10s I see 21-22 MPG highway and average 24 MPG in city. 2 & 5 are the only gears my car sees in town so that may explain the backwards part there.
