I'm going to go dyno this weekend, if you got one around you should hit it up for the AFR if anything.......I'm not really worried about the numbers just the AFR.

that car is dialed in as hell. I don't think it's as close as people try to make it seem. on top of that, people seem to ignore the power band, the revs, the entry/exit speed the car is capable of.
CORRECT

I don't feel that way when I see a Boss. I'm not a huge fan of them. They are fantastic cars, don't get me wrong, just not really my taste. They are also a great deal. As mentioned above, they cost little more than a well optioned GT.
I DO feel that way when I see a GT500 though.

The Boss 302 is certainly a great deal, especially since most mags are having a tough time comparing it to anything other than 60-100k sports cars and they sell for low 40k, everything else just gets left in the dust. From a modders perspective they should be able to hold more power than a coyote so there is a bonus, but i'll be happy with 600whp,which the stock 5.0 will hold fine, i dont need more than that. maybe 650.... overall i save about 12-13k over buying a boss (paid 31k for my premium) so thats some good mod money left on the table there.

BINGO. I had 44,700.00 Canadian in my 2005 GT and none of that was engine mods. My 09 cost me 49,100.00 so for 5000.00 Canadian I went from an 05GT to an 09 GT500, not to shabby

Honestly, I would buy a 5.0. The Boss is pure art from Ford don't get me wrong. BUT I would like to have something I can make entirely my own. The Boss mustangs are fine tuned machines. I would like to just take a bone stock 5.0 and get her modded up inside and out. I wouldn't want to do that to a boss. The Boss is how it should be. I just wouldn't want to mod it much because I feel it would take away the originality of the Ford Mustang Boss. I hope u guys get my meaning.

^^^^ I do lol. The big reason I have not purchased a Boss/Boss LS is I am not a racer of any kind either the 1/4 or a road coarse. I am lazy by nature so if I was to become a racer I would purchase something from Ford ready out of the box to race. I also hate to wait so again the Boss is ready to go instead of waiting for parts to come from all 4 corners of the planet.

Yeah but was the 09' brand spankin new when you bought it?

I paid 23k for my 09' GT/CS and it had only 600 miles on it... And that was in October of 09'.

It all depends on how much you pay for the car. Going off sticker prices, it easy to show how the BOSS is a great deal. Try talking a dealer down on a BOSS vs. talking him down on a 5.0 and see what happens. I guarantee you they are gonna hold out on the BOSS and come down on the 5.0. The BOSSes are limited and the dealers don't wanna let them go for less than they have to.

Snotty I know but I have never bought anything but new, toys or dd's. The 500 had 6 miles on the odo, I drove it home and the odo was at 8 miles and it sat in the garage for 5 months until spring rolled around.
