manual trans warm?

07 Mustang GT 5sp. Manual trans seems to be running warm as im driving im getting some heat coming up through the console. I just had the trans serviced @ the dealer. So is this something to be concerned about?

When I had my 08 I would get heat through the shift boot, and cold in the winter as well I don't think its a problem.

Ok just checking. Its also all black interior so the summer is a real bear in the car

It's just the car really. You feel it more through the short shifters than the stock ones. My Hurst on the actual metal parts gets really warm from a good lengthy drive.

The transmission is going to get hot, it's connected to the engine block. My hurst shifter would get to hot to touch on the chrome handle. Changed to Royal Purple synchromax and the problem went away.
