2011 GT/CS Baseline Dyno'd
Hi all,
Finally got around to getting my stock-ish GT/CS to the dyno to get a baseline before putting any engine performance mods onto the car and figured I'd share.
The engine/drivetrain is all OEM, with the exception of GT500 axleback mufflers (though are also technically OEM). The dyno is a dynojet operated by Dyno Spot Racing in San Jose, CA.
After a few tries the best run put down 357rwhp, and 328rwtq which I'm pretty happy about. Though after seeing some posts online from people who had baselined their "stock" mustang it seems mine might be on the lower side? I also wonder how much (if any) did the GT500 mufflers play in the output. Any one know if it's negligible?
I did take a few oligatory videos and will have those posted soon.
Any comments/feedback welcome!

Nice numbers. Not sure what mods your planning in the future but if you are thinking about an intake and tune go for it. Just dynoed mine and a friends. Mine is tuned but stock intake and I made 397/390 and he made 407! These new motors are just plain sick.

The numbers are lower but that doesn't mean much. The ambient air temp has a part in this, humidity, altitude, the dyno operator, and the dyno itself. The SAE stations can only do so much.
Go on one dyno today and get crappy numbers. But go in a totally different dyno the next and you could get great numbers.

@ Jas5 & Local Yokel: Thanks for the complements! I'm definitely going to get some bolt on pieces, most likely CAI, LT Headers w/ Catted X-Pipe, tune. So far only done aesthetic mods. I'm hoping to get 400-430ish RWHP from bolt on mods, but 400RWHP is the goal.
@ Jim5.0: I had about four runs done, with the remaining two done with a significant time for cooling. 2nd run showed some power loss due to heatsoak. The 1st run the car had only been off for about 5 min before being strapped to the dyno. The 3rd run was the best run that gave me a difference of almost +15rwhp. According to the dyno operator, the uncorrected numbers were like 370ish rwhp. I need to scan/take a picture of my dynosheet and post it.
@ Nuke: I have about 20K on the engine, but had the GT500 Mufflers installed shortly after purchase. I drive in a fairly subdued spirited manner, so I definitely don't baby the Stang. My commute to work has gotten farther with free moving traffic so it's not stuck in stop and go as much.
Is there an avg range our engines dyno at? Thanks for all the responses/feedback folks.

what gear did you run in? 4th gear should give best/highest results. 3rd lower.. if you have an automatic it will be abit lower too. I've seen people report as high as 380whp stock on these cars, and as low as you around 355whp. Dyno #s don't mean much, a tuner can have theirs set to be generous so that people will go to him for tuning/dyno #s. cai+tune has netted many people 405whp. The dragstrip is where you see how powerful your car is(trap speed), and how well you can drive. (ET)
@jas5 axlebacks really do nothing for power, as you were saying. but cams on these cars dont really exist (and we need 4 of 'em), due to the variable cam timing nobody has made a cam better than the stock one without different heads. headers are also not so great on these cars, they come with factory shorty headers so the LT's tend to only gain about 10whp and cost a lot... O/R X is the best, followed by a CAI, pairing them is ideal, cai after getting an o/r X has shown a 20whp gain before. and yeah. a tune does wonders for these cars.
