Default kook lt with borla catback

my stock cats blew out on me the other day and ive called around acouple shops and with the prices i got i could spend about $200 bucks and get kooks lt headers with catted x pipe. i have a 06 mustang gt with borla catback so far for my exhaust set up.Questions i have is 1).willthe kooks lt with there catted x pipe fit to my catback. 2). i like the deep tone will the x pipe make it more raspier? or can i get a h pipe somewhere else 3). where the cheapest place to get lt headers from.

Where are you getting kooks and a catted x for $200? I need to get in on some of that. It will fit right up to your catback, and the x will be bit raspier. It's not a huge difference, but I can usually tell which one a car is running when I hear one, and I prefer an h.

i ment to say i could get the Lt and x pipe for $200 more than what the shops quoted me to just fix my cats.the cheapest i found the kooks was from american muscle for 1379.99 plus $300 for install so im looking at almost $1700.00 for everything for my Lt headers.does that sound about right? i got quotes from 2 shops saying they could fix my cats for about $1500 but that wasnt an exact price till they did the job and ford said $1900

Jeez that's steep. I wouldn't even consider going with the stock cats at that price, I'd just use it as a mental excuse to do a set of headers. That said if you wanted to save money you could just go with an o/r pipe, or if you're looking for headers and want to stay with cats there are other options, but Kooks is a fantastic option. Pricey, but top of the line.
