I appreciate the help man, but I'm in NH for the record. Not in NJ, that dealership is over 5 hours away! Unfortunately I can't make that kind of trip any time soon!

What about that 2010 model that I posted? I will take a look at ford dealership here and surrounding areas.

Opps, sorry. I just noticed that your avatar has NH, not NJ.

The 2010 V6 is the same engine as the 05-09 V6s. Stay away IMO.

Ah, gross. Alright, will keep away. Looking online at ford dealerships within 100 miles at the moment. Nothing good yet. Going to keep at it, there's always that one perfect car, always is.

Unless there's something terribly special about it, I don't see why a basic S197 GT would be more than $15k.

The 05-09 GTs have been holding their value extremely well - just check out Carmax. I only mention them because their prices are haggle-free - trust me, I tried to haggle once to no avail on a car. It's just their policy... so they are not overpriced like what most dealers will price cars at to see if they sell and then take a lower price if offered.

I would have thought when the new 5.0 GTs came out that the 4.6s would have dropped a bit, but I haven't seen it yet!

actual MPG if you drive it like it should be driven is like 15.5 mpg

thats with a lot of wide open throttle and joy rides, im sure it would be over 20 on the highway for long cruises, or higher if you drive like a grandma. 15.5 mpg i got for both my 2003 mustang gt 5 speed, and my 2011 mustang gt 5 speed. That said, i got about 17 mpg in my 1999 nissan maxima lol.

Looks like it, solid pricing.

Only problem is I'm honestly having a time and a half trying to find a 2008+ GT that isn't at least 170+ miles or either extremely over priced on most.

I don't mean to derail the nature of the forums or this thread, but what do you think about Chargers and Camaros in comparison to all the points earlier? I'm an all around guy, I like all the muscle cars, but I really wanted to start with Ford.

My GF had a 2009 Charger and that thing was the biggest POS I have ever seen. It was in the shop constantly, window problems, electrical problems, rattles like a ****! Needless to say, we traded it in and ate 2K just to get out from under it and bought a Ford suv. I have a 2006 and the only issues I have had to face are:
1: Gas cap went bad
2: battery went dead and had to be replaced (Expected)
Mine is stock and I do drive it hard but also travel on the freeway to work and my average MPG is about 20-21. I have never had any regret buying this car and would do it all over again (well, I would probably go with an 03/04 termi but hey, time to SC is coming up)
Maintenance has not been to bad either, just the big things get costly but EVERYTHING should be cheaper then you are used to coming from a BMW and if you keep it up, it will last. I am currently at 72K and going very strong.
