06 Gt with sct tune, cold air , ford racing cat backs, and electric water pump. Feels like it was a lack of power intell it hits about 2800 rpm then the power comes on hard. Any ideas why it would feel like this?

your engines creating more power as the revs go up. I wouldn't suspect there would be a dramatic increase at 2800, but it's definitely on it's way up at that point.

are you sure it's not throttle lag?

Also, what tune are you running? My 93 tune is a dog at low RPMS but a raped ape in the upper range. My 89 and 87 tune are comparatively much more responsive in the low and mid ranges.

And if it's the canned SCT tune, then go order new tunes from Brenspeed or AM. The canned tunes are lame and about 1/2-2/3 the power of better custom tunes.

What gears are you running? My car gained a lot of lower end grunt when it got 4.10s (3.31s made it an absolute slug...a mildly modded Civic Si could keep up until 60 or so with those gears, ugh). I also second getting a Brenspeed tune...my car has one and it's a huge difference. Also remember we have the variable camshaft timing that makes the power come on stronger in the upper range compared to the lower RPMs.

i notice it too. Not much power until it hits 3k+ then it feels like it just keeps pulling.

Just got the car so i think it has the stock gears. It came with the sct tune so i don't know what tune it is.
