Supercharger question

Don't let hp scare you. I've been running well over 500hp on the stock internals for years. The best tune is a dyno tune from a reputable local tuner. There are also several well respected tuners online. Brenspeed, bama and VMP quickly come to mind.

Also, F/I installs are pretty straightforward and definitely a DIY for a competent at-home mechanic. I installed my own whipple in one weekend. As for mileage, mine is abysmal, but most of my miles come from loading and unloading the car from the trailer and running it down the drag strip.

I installed one of the very first E-force systems back in early '09 (s/n 0007)and have zero complaints. The install is very straight forward and with simple hand tools, can be accomplished over a weekend. I installed mine solo (with the exception of setting the supercharger into place) and it took ~13 hours taking my time. My original tune (which was a modified canned tune from Edelbrock as their original one was terrible) resulted in 422RWHP/394RWTQ with everything else stock.
My current set-up includes GT500 pumps and the 3.5 inch pulley (everything else is still stock including exhaust and airbox), which has me at 455RWHP and 430RWTQ.
My gas mileage did drop to the mid to upper teens with the latest set-up, but with the original tune I was getting in the low 20's when I stayed out of it.

For automatics its all about the tune. Brenspeed and JDM know how to tune autos. Brenspeed is a paxton dealer, there is your answer. You should look into getting a PA deep trans pan and a trans catch can. For everyday driving you may not need them but if you race your car, you will want them. JDM sells the trans catch can. AM has the best price on the PA Deep Pan.
