Default Failed shift.. how much damage did he do?

I wasn't feeling well day before yesterday and let my brother drive. We work close to one another. My palms were sweaty and vision bad so I didn't want to risk it (need the overtime to pay for the whipple).

Anyway on the highway he accidentally downshifted from 5th to 2nd going maybe 65mph. I heard the engine roar and woke up from my seat real quick and asked him what the hell is going on. He said "I dunno!" so after I told him to put his foot down on the clutch and shift back into 4th after seeing the speedometer and the revs.

Engine quieted down and everything was fine. I've been driving it since and I don't notice anything at all, still runs like a dream. What kind of damage did he do/should I get looked at? Man, I'm so close to buying this supercharger and starting my modding addiction.. I don't want any repair work to drain my pockets. I've given him a thorough beating soon enough I'll get a Focus or Mazda CX-5 as my beater aka when someone else is driving...

Didnt redline the revs? Im under the impression that as long as you dont redline you can have moments like that?

I've bounced off redline more times than I'd like to admit (6500 RPM, not the factory 6250) and there's not a thing wrong. Don't sweat it.

ive done way worse probably, if it drives fine , its fine. Was there any burned clutch smell?

I dont know how he got it into 2nd gear at 65+ mph though, that must have been hard to get it into gear at that speed..

No smell at all. No creeks or strange driving. Takes off and shifts just fine. I'll just continue on with my plans then, thanks!

Yea goin to 2nd he must have really forced it in.
(thats what she said)
Unless instead of just a blip of throttle he floored it
Seems everything is fine just slap him on the back and tell him to watch the gears

Shouldn't be a problem unless you have 4.10 gears. I think mine can barely reach 60 before redline in 2nd gear.

Man, I've missed shifts while powershifting at 6500 rpms on drag slicks. Trust me, your car is fine.

I've accidentally half shifted and had that horrible vibration and gutteral rip as it pops out of gear. No issues.

I've dropped into 2nd purposely at 65 with no issues.

You're finec and don't let him drive again lol
