The 2013 GT and GT/CS Mustangs are spec'd for regular gas. The Boss 302 requires premium
Wow - the 2013 5.0 can run on 87 octane? My 2011 is premium only.

Yes, unless the spec sheet on Ford's 2013 Mustang sales page is incorrect. It says recommended fuel for the GT is unleaded regular.

Here's the link to the Ford drivetrain spec page: http://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/specifications/engine/

A lot of the non-Ford operated sites do say Premium though (just looked).

Maybe a current 2013 owner can chime in and verify?

If you read under the horsepower spec it says 402 hp on regular and 420 hp on premium. Just a matter of how much you want. Engine will run fine on either.

I think hes more worried about looks cause rust anywhere looks bad and nice clean rotors look smexy

That surface rust on your brake rotors will be gone after a quick 10 minute drive... The friction from applying your brakes... I wouldn't worry about it at all.

As far as using a wire brush to knock it off, I would say do NOT do that. I would be worried that a strand of the wire would break off and possibly get stuck between the pad and the rotor. Best case scenario is that it will fall out with no problems. Worst case is that the wire get embedded into the pad material and cause a degradation of braking performance or constant noise from the metal on metal contact.

Nope. The engine adapts to the octane.

To the rotors. The surface the brakes are on is clear after a few seconds of braking. Around the edges people have painted them to clear up that rust.

Welcome. Pics

Exactly. Knock sensor technology has come a long way. If you pump premium, you make about 20 more hp in the 5.0 than you do with regular.
