Default Tax refund! What do I buy

Hey guys my mustang is 100% stock(performance wise). Its an 08 Mustang gt. I have about 2k to spend. Id love to make my car run fast down the 1/4. Whats my best bet for around this budget. I can install some simple stuff myself, but something like rear end gears I would need to bring it in. Keep that in mind

Thanks
Kevin

What does lca's do? Does it effect daily driving much?

Lower control arms. They will aid in launch and help stop wheel hop during spinning. And they will not effect daily driving.

Depending on what kind you get. Polyurethane bushings will transmit slightly more road noise/feel than the stock rubber bushings. Rod-end LCA's are loud as hell, but they are the most beneficial at the strip.

If you only have $2,000 and you'd be comfortable swapping your driveshaft, I'd get gears, driveshaft, tune and intake. You might still have money left over for LCAs after that.

If I was doing my car again, I'd probably hold off on the LCAs. I guess that depends on if you will go to the track. I've never been and it is hard to find people to race me from a dig on the street.

edit: you might even have enough to do those mods and have the shop install your driveshaft the same time as the gears and save a few bucks

Is ur car an auto or manual. If its a auto then. Suggest a torque convertor, DRs, and LCAs. If manual then gears and so on

Yeah its an auto. I drive about 6 blocks back and forth to work in the city, would a toque converter be hard on my engine? Always revving it up high? What is a DR?
