Default Recaros Necessary?

hey guys, I was just wondering what you thought of the standard leather seats. Are they supportive and comfy? or do they make your back hurt after a while. If i do buy a gt premium, it'd be a daily driver.

Havent tried out the recaros, but my seats are super comfy. Could use a little more lateral supporr bur other than that, i love em!

I've got on '08 GT Premium, and personally, I don't like the seats. To me, they are flat and don't offer much support. Hopefully, they changed them in the 2010+ models.

I've never tried Racaros, so I can't comment on those.

I like the Recaros and considered ordering them for my 2013 - but since my car is a year round daily driver I want the heated seats, and you can't get that with the Recaro seats. They are comfortable seats, very supportive, but without the heater it was a deal breaker for me unfortunately.

If you don't need the heated seat option, and are looking for good support in spirited driving, get the Recaro

I've never sat in recaro seats before or anything other than factory seats. I feel like the seats in my mustang are the most comfortable I've ever sat in, though. Never felt the need to get different seats, for sure.

I think seat comfort is a personal preference though, you should try sitting in a mustang and see how you feel.

Depends on how big you are, I'm about 5'7 165 so I like them, however I gave a buddy a ride that is a bit on the heavy side and he didn't care for them.

I have recaro's in my Boss (non-leather, of course) and I'm in love with them. It's like you're glued to the seat, like it really holds you in, definitely adding to the whole purebred race experience of the car. I can see however how these may not be ideal for people who aren't average sized. When you're too big the non-adjustable lumbar supports may be uncomfortable and when you're too small (like my wife) the seat belt ends up sitting too high (like right at her neck) because the seats are so deep.

I'm perfectly average sized myself so for me these seats are amazing.

I have recaros in my 2013 and they are DEFINITELY worth it. I had a 2010 and always complained about the seats side bolsters sucking. The recaros are amazing and I highly recommend them.
