Difference in tire sizes?
Im planning on getting some new 20" rims for my car next week and it looks like for tires it would be cheaper to get 285/30/20 for the back instead of 295/30/20. I was wondering if someone could tell me what exactly the difference in the two are and how it would affect anything.
Thanks

Use any of the online tire size calculators for the spec differences and speedometer impact.
Think hard before buying 20's. You lose sidewall height which equates to a rougher ride, higher potential to damage a rim, handling issues not to mention that not everyone cares for larger wheels on a relatively small body. Personally, I hate the large wheel/short sidewall look. I don't even care for my 18's; the OE 17's on my wife's V6 look more aggressive than my 18" GT500 wheels.

I have 20x10 and 20x8.5 wrapped in 275/35 and 255/35 respectively. I'm able to pull 1.98 60ft times (Falken tires) and haven't noticed any adverse handling effects. He's right about them being more prone to damage. I've already curbed them once in just 3 months and I'm very careful. Also, I'm not the biggest fan of the "Dubz" look either, but 20's in this wheel well really don't look exaggerated.
Here's a quick snapshot of the front wheel:

20s is about the biggest you can go and
still have a sidewall and OEM rolling diameter....
tHE shelby HAS 24S AND JUST LOOKS STUPID DUMB.
