Arrrgh....dead battery rant....
Totally my fault - when I flipped the headlights off and ran in out of the cold, it only made it to the parking lights. No biggy... but the jumpers are in the trunk...and with a dead battery the electric trunk switch won't work and there's no longer a key lock - you have to crawl through the back seats to reach the emergency latch . And those 'trick' door windows that lower 1/2 an inch when you open the door? yeah, they don't work either...so when you pop the door open, you can't close it again.
Of course the battery was so dead my truck couldn't jump it. I couldn't leave with the door open so waiting for AAA was the only option.
I think I need to get the window re-timed now - it's not closing as it should.
(sigh)

You can still close the doors. Just futz with the molding and bend it up a bit. It's a tight fit, but as long as you go slow, it won't break the glass.
Just don't slam it.
Learned that the hard way, just like the OP did.

doors closed
windows down and hold switch for 3 seconds AFTER window bottoms out
run window up and hold switch up for 3 seconds AFTER fully closing
repeat 1 more time
window calibrated
A charging jack located behind the front fascia works for me.
Or a quick pull on the release cable jacket
at the hood latch will get the hood open from outside the vehicle

I found it in the manual - thanks.
Access to the battery was easy - just doesn't make sense to keep cables in the trunk with a power trunk lock. Or remember to keep them in the back of the trunk where access thru the back seat is easy. Something to remember.
