Default had to put in a new alternator ***not fixed, need help!!**

Well I was on my way home from work last night when my radio cut off. Looked down and it said "low battery". Then looked up and my tcs light and abs light were on and the voltage gauge was pegged out at the bottom. Luckily I was close to home so I turned off my headlights and got home quick. Tossed in a new alternator today and I'm good to go.

I was pretty surprised, I haven't seen many people post with an alt. issue. It's an 07 and only has 49k miles too.

Oh well, shes back to full strength now. Now I just need to replace 1 tpms sensor.

**update**

Got in the car tonight and the volt meter is teetering back and forth from dead to about 1/4. lights in the dash are fading in and out....

maybe just a bad alternator? or do you guys know of any common issues that it may be?

Did you change the battery? Always change the battery when changing the alternator.

did not get a cel light. but the alternator I put in was only putting out 11.5 volts under a load, so I swapped it out while I was at work today. And put in a new battery for safe measure. So far so good.

You might want to change the battery as well.

yeah, I went ahead and put in a new interstate battery. And the best part, is all of this cost me about 200 dollars. Oh the joy of working at a shop. haha
