what happened to my E brake?
this...is embarassing, but I will admit that on sunday I changed out the brake pads and rotors on my 05 GT for the first time. What I thought would be about a 4 hour job (considering it was my first time on this car) turned into a 12 hour clusterf#ck.... That being said, the new brakes are on, and they work...HOWEVER i now have no emergency brake.
i have NO idea what happened or what i could have done that would have affected the E-brake.... Here is the thread I referenced to do the job:
https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...rake-pads.html
anyone that can help me figure this out? just really don't want to have to always shut off the car and leave it in gear to make sure it doesn't roll away.

Follow the cables from the e brake handle. If there is no resistance on the handle then it snapped or came off near the handle(I think). I can't imagine what you were doing in those 12 hours but good practice would be to have someone expierienced over your shoulder any time you do something for the first time and not just follow a thread on the Internet. (even though I've done that, but I've still had people close for confirmation).
Honestly, unless it broke coincidentally, you did it. Try retracing the process. See where that gets you.
